The Savant Desktop Media Dock provides an interface and control solution for the Apple® iPod® personal media players and iPhone®. The docking cradle can be placed on any flat surface (counter, shelf, lectern) or other convenient location. Savant uses the latest Apple technology enabling high speed music library browsing and compatibility with the latest Apple products and features. In addition, the DDL-P20B and DDL- P20W support Power over Ethernet using the IEEE 802.3af standard. Within the Savant architecture, the Savant Media Dock — DDL-P20B (black) or DDL-P20W (white)—transforms the iPod or iPhone into a portable multi-room digital media server. These media docks combine the convenience of personal audio and video with the performance, distribution and control capabilities of Savant’s multi-room A/V systems—delivering audio, and DVD quality video throughout the home or office. With the Savant iPod and iPhone distribution interface, consumers can listen to iPod or iPhone music and watch videos from anywhere within their home or facility–with the  superior sound and video quality that is the hallmark of every  Savant A/V system—while providing two-way operation from Savant’s entire line of diverse and unique user interfaces.  

Simple Docking

    Simply placing the iPod or iPhone into the docking cradle instantly connects it for sharing with speakers and video monitors throughout the home or office.

Ease Of Navigation

    Integrating the iPod or iPhone with a Savant SmartSystem enables full control and navigation using TrueControl apps running on iOS devices (iPad®, iPod touch® or iPhone), handheld remotes (SSR-1000) or the TrueCommand on-TV menu system. From any touch screen, the entire iPod or iPhone library can be searched by genre, artist, album and track, and even view album cover art.

Audio And Video Distribution

    The DDL-P20B/DDLP20W allows for stereo audio, composite video and component video signals to be fed from the iPod or iPhone to a home theater, multi-room distribution system, or third party AVR.
