Adjust the position of the projector up to 80% vertically and 31% horizontally to get just the right angle for your movies. A flexible throw distance of 4.17–8.96 ft for 1.78:1 and 5.51–8.96 ft for 2.35:1 anamorphic allows you to tailor positioning perfectly to your environment.

Detail In Every Corner with The 4K ARC-F Lens

The super High-Resolution 4K All-Range Crisp Focus (ARC-F) lens featuring an 18-piece lens structure and floating focus system is similar to the lens in a 4K digital cinema projector. It combines Sony’s HD SXRD projector lens and 4K digital cinema technologies with high power for intense detail across the entire screen. The floating lens group and focusing lens group move simultaneously, minimizing image distortion to achieve high precision in every corner of the image.

Sharp Images with Extra-Low-Dispersion Glass

Extra low dispersion glass optimizes the refractive index for green, red, and blue light to give clear, sharp images. Curvature on conventional lenses causes different light wavelengths to refract at different angles. This leads to pixel misalignment, especially at the edges of a screen, where light passes through the most curved part of a lens. ED glass changes the speeds at which different wavelengths pass through it to make sure all wavelengths emerge magnified at precisely the same point.

Plays Mastered In 4K Discs

The Mastered in 4K collection includes classic films, remastered with enhanced color and detail for Blu-ray Disc. Play these discs on the VPL-VW1100ES with a pixel resolution and color range that’s almost identical to the 4K original. The movie is down sampled from the original 4K source at a high bitrate to 2K, and then upscale using the same algorithm to 4K.

Advanced SXRD™ (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) panels with an ultrafast response rate of 2.5 milliseconds minimize the space between pixels in every frame. Consisting of a thin LCD layer backed with a highly reflective silicon plate, SXRD splits the white light of the lamp into different colors using mirrors and sends them to a red, green, and blue panel in 4K resolution. Light passes in and out of each panel, allowing more effective light blocking for exceptionally deep blacks.

Contrast To Match the Scene with Advanced Iris 3

Advanced Iris 3 technology dynamically responds to light levels and selects the optimum contrast to match the scene, bringing out the detail in dark shadow and preventing bright scenes from becoming washed out.
